Abstract : This study aimed to evaluate MALDI-TOF MS for species discrimination of Listeria in the context of routine surveillance. MALDI-TOF MS yielded 100% accuracy for the identification of L. monocytogenes, L. innocua, L. ivanovii, L. fleischmannii, L. grayi, L. seeligeri, L. weihenstephanensis and L. welshimeri, as confirmed by whole genome sequence analyses.
